Hey guys im looking into buying a 252 ls for my first boat. Its a 95 252 and has the 454 fuel injected motor in it. The motor has 530 hours on it. Is there anything i should be looking into about the motor? When do you usually freshen up these motors? Also im can get it for about $15,000 is this a good deal? Any info about this boat would be great.

look for all the usual things, stringers, etc, as long as its in nice shape that doesnt sound to bad, 530 hours on a 454 is nothing, check the gimble make sure its tight

Is it a 454mpi (385hp) or a 7.4 454 (330hp). The 454mpi would be more desireable over the 7.4 as it is a stronger base motor.

Seems like a lot of money to me... There is a F311 sr-1 near me with twin 454mags (420hp) for 18K...

cant imagine that 311 is in great shape for that coin if it is get me the info!

Does the 252 have Bolsters, or seats?
