Default Batteries

I am getting ready to replace all three batteries and was wondering what you guys thought would be the best replacement. I spend alot of time anchored with the radio going and the refrig on. I am also getting ready to overhaul the stereo system to something a bit more extreme.

I have interstate now and have worked alright. Are the Optima worth the money?

You have 3 batteries, is one for a generator? I only have two, no gen.
U have always had good luck with Sears brand batteries.

There is a recent thread on this subject you can search. Lot of guys like Interstate, Optima, Oddesey (SP?) in no particular order. I've had Optima and currently have a 3yr old Oddesey that's been tremendous.

I actually added the third. I do not have a Gen. I just don't like running out of juice.

I really like the Optima series and I run them in everything I have boats included.

My mechanic is going to add it this week. Not sure of placement yet. I will post when it is done.

My 2005 Donzi came with Nautilus batteries. They already have 5 seasons on them and load test good so I am going for 6 seasons. These batteries are cheap and have had quite a bit of banging and shaking around. If these cheapo batteries can deliver then why should I switch to Optima? I figure if one goes I will have a back-up anyway. Just sharing my experience.

I went with the Napa AGM's (Odyssey) Last year and love them....Haven't had much luck with the optimas was the reason I switched. I also didn't want to change out my battery mounts....311's have the nice offshore mounts for group 24 already.
