1984 Bolster repair
#1
I have a 1984 F-402 (with only 220 total hours since new). The interior is still in good shape, but the headrest part of the pax bolster is loose. Anyone have an idea how/where to get at the fasteners that hold it on? Is the back of the bolster really hollow? I'm thinking to try dropping the bottoms of to take a look?

Just to follow up ...
Turned out to be really easy to fix. Remove one screw on the lower front which loosens the outer back shell (it's a molded fiberglass piece with the vinyl stretched over it. Once loose you can nudge it back and reach in with a wrench to tighten the headrest. Alternatively, if you remove the headrest you can get at the rest of the fasteners to completly remove the outer back shell.
All in all not a bad design, and took about 5 minutes to fix. I continue to be impressed with the construction of the Formula (even my 1984 vintage one) compared to my Donzi.
