Progress! No messing around in Decatur...
Imagine the shock on other people's faces when you open this hatch! |
Very nice package.
Let's hope the Decatur folks address the constructive criticism from Bob Teague on the FX5 in the latest Powerboat review regarding engine compartment rigging. |
I guess the downturn has affected everyone, in the past Formula was not interested in going off their set options list at all.
Glad to see it, I never understood why a company like Formula was so rigid in respect to changes from their preset list. I agree, a 353 with Ilmors would be awesome! |
I would love to see a pic of the transom when the drives get bolted on.
So did they make the one with Merc 700's/NXT's? |
The third one should have Whippled 525's with the Bravo conversion Arnesons.... :D
|
Saaaaweeeeet That's incredible! Thanks for pics C-Spray!
|
Cool pics and thanks for posting.
I'm more of a charger guy. I'd prefer the Merc 700's over the Ilmors for my boat. |
I gues the 700 `with NXT won`t fit under the hatch since the NXT installtion brings the engine much higher than a Bravo installation

The x dimension on those drives looks short. They seem to be higher than bravos (i know they are bigger) and I'm starting to think that 72 may be conservative.
Did they raise the drives on this? |
Wimps.......doing it the easy way with the deck off!!! :D They should try doing that with the deck glued on already.

Thats funny, I think you should trade your 40 for this one and put it on saylorville this summer, if we can ever get out!
Can't wait till we can get out ... been a long winter. I'm hoping to get a lift in my slip this year if we can get a back over to work. Should help cut down on bottom cleaning haul outs. See you out there Dave ! |

I have to admit that diesels would be my first choice for a 400SS,

How attractive is the sound on a 400SS with Diesels? Never been on one. I'm guessing no silent choice exhaust option.
