t500 thw scary part was waiting 7 months before being able to put it all back together. I was starting to have nightmares of not being able to remember or follow my notes from back in early November.

At least you put everything back where it came from. I moved every single one of my guages to new locations (even a new pattern from the old). My guages were set with port/starboard beside each other related to oil/temp/etc. Now it's patterned port motor on port side, starboard motor on starboard side.

Here's a pic of the old. Note I had removed the compass and made a star-board plate to hold the GPS. I incorporated the GPS into the new dash.

Normally you want to put gauge functions next to each other so at a quick glance you can see a problem by quick comparision to the adjacent gauge.

Default GARMIN GPS/Plotter in Fastech 312 dash

I recently purchased a 2002 Fastech 312. I would like to install a Garmin GPS/Plotter in the factory dash directly above the steering wheel.
I am pretty sure that the 400 series Garmins will fit in this location, but does anyone know if the 500 series Garmins will?

Cheers
Ross
