Anchor question?
#21
I've had the cabin seats out of a 312 and there was surprisingly little space under them.......the round flare kits tubes wouldn't come close to fitting under there because of the grid system.

Great topic somebody link it to Formula, lol this is and has been my only compliant on both Formula's, in the 271 theres not a ton of room so side anchor is a pain especially with company but oh well, haven't found a better way yet, For the life of me I cannot understand why there's not storage under the couches in the cuddy, that would rid me of all my space issues
There is only about six inches under there. Then its the boat sides.

you can bow mount the anchor all you want. i for one am not. def not worth risking the locker or hull for a safety issue.

I have mine mounted on the front with a windlass, there is a speacially formed stainless steel piece round the front of the nose so the anchor doesn't damage the hull. I have the anchor deployed and retracted at the flick of switch...it's never caused me any problems. it sort of disrupts the look of the boat at the front but as it's so practical having it on the nose i can live with the looks.
