I've had the cabin seats out of a 312 and there was surprisingly little space under them.......the round flare kits tubes wouldn't come close to fitting under there because of the grid system.

we do the same as others have posted...leave it in the rear of the boat in a canvas bag

anchors should be bow mounted with windlass on all boats after all it is a safety issue. my fav is the plow style that sucks up tight to hull and you bearly see it

you can bow mount the anchor all you want. i for one am not. def not worth risking the locker or hull for a safety issue.

I have mine mounted on the front with a windlass, there is a speacially formed stainless steel piece round the front of the nose so the anchor doesn't damage the hull. I have the anchor deployed and retracted at the flick of switch...it's never caused me any problems. it sort of disrupts the look of the boat at the front but as it's so practical having it on the nose i can live with the looks.

looks great to me simple and quick to use, newer ones pull into the top of the hull you bearly see em
