This boat is going to either be a home run or a biggest headache. Follow your gut i guess.

Sad what some people are capable of. How many stepped 419's did they make? Can't be too many out there.

I got out bid

waterboy222 08-24-2011 09:17 AM

If you sold every single nut and bolt out of that boat and turned in the wire for recycling, I still don't think you'd get your "close to 20k" out of it.. Drives, gauges, interior parts, misc switches and rigging, etc. It'd take you a lifetime to craigslist it all out! Best of luck to the new owner but man I hope you got a stockpile of parts already!

kageman 09-05-2011 07:39 PM

Whoever does that to a boat is a complete loser, I hope he never is able to afford another boat....would hope the bank files charges....

aquaforce 09-05-2011 08:47 PM

Unreal !!!! I wonder what could possibly make someone do something like that.

Take it out on an inanimate object. :greenchainsaw:

Big Boys Toys 09-06-2011 05:52 AM

Boy oh boy what a mess, hard to belive someone would go to that level of destruction. To bring it back to a nice boat is attainable but at what cost. Filling the motors with water now that is for sure a MORTAL SIN ! He is going to hell for that one. What did it finally go for?
Thanks in advance for the reply !
Brian

c_deezy 09-06-2011 11:19 AM

Guy should have killed himself, not the boat. He was the one that failed and couldn't pay his bills.

I hope whoever bought it didn't really pay 20K for it, drop a zero from that and it might be worth it, barely.

MrMagloo 09-06-2011 03:37 PM

Hopefully the bank pursues the guy. Imho, that's nothing less than aggravated criminal damage to property, a felony.

Full Force 09-14-2011 05:31 AM

If you know how to do ALL the work yourself... 20,000 is not that bad really...

I have bought piles of said "junk" parts from boats before and made some good money selling what I didn't want... people thpught I was nuts... proved EVERYONE wrong... parts add up fast when selling small stuff...

If I bought it, I would redo transom.... and put in twin 1000HP engines and some 6's and have a sweet ass 419!!!

rer233 09-15-2011 07:55 PM

the guy should be locked up in solitary and get his next non-cat crap meal when the loan's satisfied!

Big Boys Toys 09-15-2011 08:25 PM

Anyone can go and buy a new boat, BUT NOT JUST ANYONE CAN MAKE AN OLD BOAT LOOK LIKE NEW.
That boat all dolled up is an empressive package.
And many people on this web site love working on huge projects and that is a huge project. Good luck to whom ever buys it.
You could call it ANGER MANAGEMENT!
I make Joke !

teamsynergy 09-16-2011 06:40 AM

I went through the picasa album. That boat was sitting in a lot in Elkhart, IN. I have a pole barn not more than 200 yards away from it. Saw it first hand and it was real rough... sucks that this douche bag would do it... I'm guessing he's not too smart!!!

Car Biz 02-01-2012 11:31 AM

look what popped up on ebay!

Even though the boat is "lake ready" as far as mechanically, there are also minor issues (cosmetic & electric) that needs addressed:

1. All gauges are operable excluded speedometers

2. Switches are missing to operated drop out bolster seats

3. GPS is inoperable

4. Switch panel for blower and accessories is missing

5. Light scratches are in the red and blue striping on both the port and starboard side

6. Generator is inoperable and needs a wiring harness

7. Stereo speakers are missing

obviously the upholstery and many other things have been fixed/repaired. probably put $10k into the boat and looking to make a nice score. can't blame them.

I surely hope so. I don't see how they can justify selling the boat in the first pics with the second pics... But, if the dealer did the repairs himself, I hope for his sake that he did them properly. That's a lawsuit waiting to happen, especially given the first set of pics on this post.

aquaforce 02-01-2012 05:57 PM

I wonder if he will try to explain the 4th NEGATIVE after selling this disaster??? :eekdrop::eekdrop::eekdrop:

For the most part, it seems as though everybody knows about that boat. Shame on any bidder not doing due diligence. The buyer will certainly feel screwed after the auction ends.

Big Boys Toys 02-06-2012 07:31 AM

The big issue in my mind are the engines, earlier in this thread it was stated that the guy actually filled the motors with water. Man this guy was out for the banks blood. Often when water is introduced into a motor and is it not removed and someone trys to start it they bend the rods trying to compress the water in the cylinders. And another major concern is the rust of the cylinder bores lifter bores etc and what about freezing and cracking the blocks and heads and manifolds ???? I wonder if they just tossed in three new motors long blocks or what?
Now the fix it costs are really climbing up.
I can't see how the dealer can make any money if they are paying employees to work on it.
That is why people buy stuff like that as individuals, and put sweat equity into the project. There are a lot of really brilliant people on this web site that take pride in their projects to the point of showing the entire job with descriptions as they go through the re conditioning. Does anyone know if they put in new motors ???
