I had my treadplate anodized before I installed it. Just used the same trim piece to hold it in place.

Thanks,
You just gave me another project I have to do.

What did you use as "edge material" at the perimeter of the plate? Same stuff that was holding down the gray polyvinyl Diamond Plate?

I did not totaly understand what you meant, till I saw Red-Dogs photos. The 382s are different tahn the 292s I just used the screws that the held the rubber mat down.I left the aluminum perimeter on the wood as it was fine. The piece I cut just dropped in the center.

Motor was out to check out an oil temp problem, turned out to be just a sticking oil thermostat.

Unfortunately probably a thick layer of dust collecting on the tread plate now, she's still sitting in my building back in Ohio. Waiting until I get the money to construct a storage building at the house here in Vegas before I bring it out west.

I got rid of the edging by forming the diamond plate around the wood. I used .090" material, and clear powder-coated it once it was cut and formed. I also narrowed the center section/widened the doors to give better access to the strainers. 4 years later, I've seen no signs of corrosion...

Nice Chuck! If only you had some access to a professional fabrication shop ... ;)
