Default Diamond Plate in 382

I know some have removed the rubber diamond plate in the bilge and replaced it with aluminum diamond plate. What gauge did you use and how is it holding up?

Default 382 floors

Folding floor flaps.....I removed them altogether. Everything is much more accessable now. It seemed they served no purpose other than they were always in the way

Diamond plate would look cool at first. Having to repolish it in a few years would be a nightmare. Jeff Wurl

I did this today,I only did it because the rubber had ripped were the screw holes went through. Looks ok if it gets cruddy you could just polish it and then clear it.Just remember to reseal the screw holes with silicone when you put it back in,they go all the way through into the stingers. I doubt Formula did this but I did when I reassembled.

The stringers are solid glass, so no worries there.

Looks great, think I Will add that to my list of small winter projects.

Looks good, what gauge and what did you use on the perimeter?

What did you use as "edge material" at the perimeter of the plate? Same stuff that was holding down the gray polyvinyl Diamond Plate?

I'm also thinking about using the same material. Does anyone know where to purchase gray polyvinyl diamond plate? I sent an email to Scott @ Formula and I've been searching for other places to purchase from.
