Is there any outdrive lube as good as Mercruser High Performance gear oil thats cheeper than the $15.00 per quart mercruser cost?

It's been 2-3 years but I last ordered a 5 gallon bucket of the merc lube for about $6.50 qt. At the time the 1 qt bottles were about $11.50/12 each.

Yes, if you get it in the 5 gallon pail it works out to under $7 quart. Our local marina stocks the pails so it is easy to get.

Amsoil 75W-80W/90 Marine Gear Lube is cheaper than $15.00/quart.

I get the 5 gallon buckets at O'Reilly's auto parts. Order it and it takes about 4-5 days to come in.
