No offense but there is no way you will get 1000 or any where near 1000 for your silent thunder exhaust. Everyone on here is taking them off (performance gains, louder, less vibration) not putting them on. My 292 exhaust is for sale too...I'm thinking I'll be lucky to get 250 out of it. Just my 0.02

Yep, 'fraid so. I have a ST box from a 2000 382 that I've tried to give away twice. At the moment, it's serving as a dock box in my dry stack building...

Yeap, also no offense but this will be sitting in your shop for a long time, just like some stock car parts sitting in my garage right now.

add the fact that nothing ever goes wrong with the silent thunder exhaust...and you have yourself a real paper weight.

Help me out here, other than noise, is the performance quantifiable?
MPH increases?
I took my ST off a 272 330HP 454 and ran it. Other than noise.....I sensed zero change.

I gained maybe 50-100 Revs with 425's, so there was not much of a performance increase.

On our 292 we gained 1 mph on the top end, faster planing time, and better gas mileage (no hard numbers)...
