OK...my new gas gauge wasn't working and I found out that the new style gauges are not compatible with the old style sending units at the tank. So I took the whole ass end of the cockpit back apart to get to the sending unit access port. I carefully removed the old sending unit, bagged it up and went to West Marine for a replacement. Hanging on a peg board in the store West had the exact replacement for the original 1979 sending unit by Moeller ,,,$49.95. I put the new unit in...connected the wires and...what do you know...the new Faria gauge works!!

While I had access to the tank I took a Turkey Baster sample of the gasoline that's a year old. I have been treating it religiously with Sta-Bil Gasoline treatment. This paid off because the gas looked pretty good...especially after sitting for over a year. I must have at least 75~80 gallons in the 125 gallon tank so I'm using it. The boat runs fine and after 3 trips out I have dumped both water separators in a jar and found no water. Great testimonial for Sta-Bil!!

Next on my list...install the McLeod drop out bolsters...

Well with some good guidance from Chris at McLeod I am getting my McLeod drop out Bolsters together and ready to go in. I had to install the new cables and release buttons I had gotten from them last year. Once I took a seat apart it was clear to me how to replace the cable. on the manual versions of their Bolster Seats McLeod used a Hydrolock Cylinder with a Coil Over Spring that is what we see every time we fly commercial airlines.The button release and cylinder is what allows us to adjust the angle of the rear of our airline seats. In the drop our seat design...the cylinder is used to control the angle and position of the bottom part of the seat. Push the button and you can raise and lower it by moving the weight of your body against the set base. Once you position it as you like it...release the button and the cylinder locks. If you step forward away from the seat and push the button the base returns to the normal sitting position.

i completed the helm seat tonight and will tackle the passenger seat tomorrow when I get home. I need to pick up some stainless hardware to mount the angles and seats to the sides of the cockpit and possibly get them in the boat tomorrow evening. I will take some pics and post when I finish.

Looks like we have a good weekend coming up with only a slight chance of rain and seas 2-3 feet. I can't wait to try them out!! Maybe I can figure out how to run and mount the Go Pro while I'm at it and post some video...stay tuned.

Nice I like them because you can set them exactly where you want compared to the ones that are either up or down. I usually end up with them at about a 45 degree it supports me but im kind of standind still

Sprink, those look great they look like the ones I`m going to look at to nite, do you have a bar that attaches to the back then to the side, any measurements on the seats depth wise.
