Maryann Adesso, wife of fellow OSO member and Formula Owner Bill Adesso a.k.a Panic Attack, has recently been diagnosed with Diffuse Large B-Cell Lymphoma. This is an aggressive cancer that attacks the lymphatic system. As a result of the lymphoma Maryann has also developed a complication called ITP or immune thrombocytopenic purpura. Which means her platelets cannot stabilize and her body's immune system is attacking them as if they are foreign cells.
Maryann is currently a patient at Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in New York City. Her treatment for Lymphoma requires regular blood and platelet transfusions. Maryann's family and friends are asking for your help in the form of prayer, donations of blood, and or platelets.
Patient designated donations can be made in the Blood Donor Room of Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center in NYC. These donations will be used in the direct treatment of Maryann's cancer. For answers to questions or to schedule an appointment that is convenient for you please Contact:
Joe Licata - 212-639-8177 Manager, Blood Donor Program

Her blood type is B+
For Platelet donations, type matching is not as critical as with blood. Although, an effort is usually made to match type specific platelets.
All donations, blood or platelet, that can not be used in Maryann's direct treatment, will be released for use by other patients, many of whom are children.

Thanks to everyone for taking the time to view this thread. I just want to keep this thread at the top to give everyone else a chance to view this.
If your unable to make a donation, you can also help by passing the word along to others. Even if only one person is able to make a donation, this thread has served its purpose. Maryann's family and friends appreciates the kind thoughts and prayers as well.

It's been a while so I figured I'd provide an update.
There were a few set backs early on getting her stabilized to start her treatments. The past few weeks she has really made some progress. Maryann was released from the hospital to continue outpatient treatments. She had her first cancer treatment this week too. Maryann's platelet count is also completely back to normal.
It is great to see Maryann getting back to her old self with her positive attitude and great outlook ahead.
Maryann's family and friends, again, thank everyone for all the love and support.
