Im in SE Michigan. Spend most of my time on Lake St Clair. Im new to the performance boating world, but I am learning. I am thinking of buying a 502 block to build. By the time I get it done I figure my current motor would need a rebuild. Well see but I cant wait to just get out there and start running around the lake.

Finally the boat is officially mine. She is beautiful and I get to work on her tomorrow
. Will be adding infinity sound, and a few other touches of mine.
I was planning on leaving the silent thunder on.....however I have decided that it needs to go. Probably this winter, it needs to be louder

Congrats on your first Formula!! Very nice boat.
I started out, with Formula, in that same layout. Mine is an 87 242 SS that is blue and gray.
Your headliner in the cabin will need to be re-glued. We just did that to my 242SS and it worked out great. Also if you get water dripping in the cabin or shows up on the floor, the screws in the windshield frame will leak due to the foam rubber seal leaking under the frame. That requires removing the windshield to replace the seal and if you do that be sure to seal each screw as you put it back together.
We are hoping to splash down this year since converting the drive to a Bravo and stroking up the 454 to a 496.
Good luck with your upcoming season on the water.

Thanks everyone. Went on my maiden voyage today. She ran good, topped at 54 with 3/4 fuel and 2 people on board. Really depressed by the quietness of the exhaust but Ill work on that
. Heres a few pics, we were the only ones out on the lake.
