Default formula is keeping the riff raff out

All this isn’t cheap of course, not many Formulas are. But where some may view that as a downside, we view is as restricted access to an exclusive club. Base price for the 310 FX5 with standard twin 8.2 Mag EC power plant with B3 outdrives is $264,690, hardly chump change but well worth the price considering the quality of the build. While the boat is nicely equipped as standard, what would the world be without options, and we have our own wish list that we’d equip our 310 FX5 with.

It starts with the Axius sterndrive docking system (add $20,120) that allows you to slide your FX5 into the slip with joystick ease. No boat this cool should be without the blue underwater LED lights (add $2,770). Since we’ll be showing off at every anchorage we can find, a windlass with chain and stainless anchor will be a must (add $4,850). But nights will be spent at the dock in front of the best waterfront restaurants we can find, and that means we’ll likely need the reverse cycle air conditioning (add $5,555) but we will hold off on the 5kw Kohler generator (would add $12,450) and opt for the shore power (add $3,770) that will also keep the batteries up to snuff. A dual voltage cockpit refrigerator is available (add $1,875) but we like the ability to load the standard cooler at home and drop it into its dedicated spot in the cockpit entertainment center.

You forgot that they now offer it with 8.2HO's. Just for fun, here is the price with Extreme FX Graphic w/Silver Diamond Metallic Hullside, Deck, and Full Cockpit and 8.2HOs, fully loaded except the ugly arch.

$382,105 MSRP

Hm. Wonder it a set of Ilmor 725s will fit with ASD#7Ms. Should be good for 88-90 mph

I hear you can get a Bayliner for a whole lot less than 264 K.

Thumbs up

I would not discuss Retail pricing ,

since most Formula dealers will get you a substantial discount

Now its time to buy, market prices were never better than now

I don`t think that the Ilmor 725 would fit but the new Ilmor 570 `s will do

I don't know why they price their boats so high. I don't think any of them actually sell for MSRP. Big discounts at the dealers and the boat shows . . . it is kind of a smoke and mirrors game, IHMO. Since they went down this path, it is probably hard to reverse.

You can buy the boat with Axius for just over 200K. Why discuss MSRP - all boat builders have been doing this forever. Why would Formula be different?
