Default Been away for awhile...

Hey!
I have been off the site for awhile since I sold my boat. I was to depressed to talk about boats after my long relationship with my 292SR1 was broken. Plus, I was working a full time job plus my real estate business. Phew!! But, whoever said "the two happiest days of a boat owner is the first and the last" was completely wrong! I am hoping to become a boat owner again soon and hopefully it will be a Formula again. Probably a sweet 223 or 242 though. Don't want to deal with feeding twin 454 magnums just yet!

I tell the "two happiest days" parrots that some people never get above the"beginner level" which is what I believe the "two happiest days" concept is.

The next level where boaters pursue a happy life of boating regardless of the set backs is: B.O.A.T. aka; break out another thousand. This is the practice that moves past the sale of the old boat and into the purchase of the next boat! As this process continues some move up to "two-foot-itis", where the sale and purchases grow two feet longer each time.

Good luck on the next Formula and a happy boating life.

Oh and welcome back.

IMHO people that subscribe to that theory have never owned a Formula!

Welcome back. yeah, I have heard that and was told about it after buying my 272. I replied back that it wasn't the happiest, I was really mixed about buying it due to condition. Thought about dumping it a couple of times. But I realize that everything I do, I enjoy the construction and design process the most, hence the reason I became a mechanical engineer. I have had several happy days since getting it as I have fixed things, seen the fruit of my labor and stuff starts going back on the boat.

Today was a happy day. I now have an assembled long block! By the end of this week I will have two engines almost done with the hopes that they are ready to go back in by the end of next week. Naw, the first and last day will NOT be the happiest days of my boat ownership.....
