I do like that silver and white. Whats the sun pad look like? I like the silver black and maybe a red pipe between the silver and black. Thats the same theme as the original just a little diffrent. I'm trying to stay with the original theme. I love the old "Muscle Boat" look.

I'd keep the Imron as it is! Remember the paint job on the grey Formula is a $25,000 option! You will never get a paint job locally that nice. As to the interior I also vote original colors or go all white. The problem is your sun pad is not original. Are you going to tackle this your self or have someone do it? The sun pad, bench seats and side trim are fairly simple but the bolster will not turn out well unless you really know what your doing. I'm in the process of redoing mine (bench and sunpad). When I'm done, you can come down and see if you like the white look.

I'm for the update idea.
I updated my 242SS to lines more like a modern SS in the interior. The multiple striped bars look very dated to me.

My 242LS is next in line for updates too.

All the interior is at the upholsery shop. They did a great job on my old 223ls. The 311 has been screeming for some interior attention. most of the seems are coming apart through out the 26yr old boat. It will keep the same over all look as far as the interior I'm just not gonna go with all the color bars. It just looks to dated. the exterior is timless for sure but to go into 2012 her interior needs a face lift. I use my boat and the all white idea just wont fit. theres way to much work keeping it clean.

My 242 has that yellow look, but my 292 is still nice and white. I would like to know what causes this so I can keep the 292 white! I like the bar look as well. I thought about doing that on my 242. Post some picks when you get it done. Also did you ever play with different props?

I run 25 mariges turning in. My 311 has trs drives. I was told by many that the marige wast the best fit for the hull. I've tried the 4 blades but the lost all the top end.

That looks like Tramps old boat. I always liked that color combo. I almost bought that boat before Tramp, I think the guys name was McCollough something or another. Used to have it serviced at Watts.

Can't wait to see the final work....
