Default Drive trim and bumpstops

Apparently Formula installs bumpstops in the drive trim cylinders to prevent lower units from hitting the silent thunder box if equipped. My shop found that these pieces had deteriorated and broken apart on my 292. The debris in the trim cylinders was preventing my drives from full trim in either direction.

Just wanted to pass along and curious if anyone else has run into this issue.

I beleive that Formula also does this on trim tabs for some models. What material were the stops made from?

Not sure haven't seen it yet. I think some kind of plastic. BTW my ST box has been removed.
