Ok to my formula brethren, I have an 87 272 sr1. It has the quicksilver twin engine throttles with round handle and trim switch in the top. I need to replace whole unit. I found part number 883711a02 and it looks to be the right replacement but I keep reading outboard engines. Looking for confirmation this will work with I/O. If anyone has this answer I will be extremely happy.
Also I love the livorsi throttle style, extremely expensive but has anyone converted to these? Know where to find a good deal? What type of cables would I need and do they fit in same area as stock? Thanks again guys

Call Bill at Diamond Performance and ask him to price an Eddie Marine twin setup. It should use the same cables, but i would replace them while you are at it. Tell him I sent you!

Thanks. Spoke to him. 1100. Still looking to spend a little less. If I have to I'll spend that. Just found a set of gaffrig for twins for 600. Anybody have any opinions on gaffrig controls?
