I would want to take that "lake front property" to other lakes.

That's why down here when you have a boat that size it either stays in the water or on a lift....one of the benefits of water front property. My partner has a 29' Sea Ray Amberjack with twin Volvo Diesels and an 11' beam. We wouldn't even consider trailering that beast...12,000 lbs dry!!! It's getting it's annual bottom paint now.

Would you say towing a 400SS with a 3500 is probably a white knuckle ride or maybe just not comfortable?
Also can you elaborate on the "not comfortable" of the F450 pulling the 400SS?

No way you should tow with a 3500 your way over the limit for that truck, i had a few white knuckle drives with the 450 that is why i went to the Sportchassis. it just pushes the 450 around to much, whether its from rough roads or wind, even a truck going by would get your attention. and NEVER drove over 55 pulling it.

While having the Formula at the dock in the backyard is great there are always other places that are fun to go to so unless you have two boats the only option was to tow.
i went and got another Cigarette so the formula wont be on a trailer any more (plus i just sold the trailer )
now i have the best of both worlds

I tow the 357 with 06 4500. I love this truck. Good power and stopping is a snap. Saves alot on the trailer brakes. When not towing, wife is always driving it around.

pulls my 26ST just fine

it'll leave 2 foot black mark when it hits 2nd with 22s. I'm just waiting for the the 4l60 to die tho. I'd say the boat is around 5500lbs and it pulls better at 80 then 70.
