Internal flappers
I have a 223 with the silent thunder platform my question is my internal flappers are gone I was wondering with the platform on is it really necessary to have them in their? I have a 4" hole with a deck plug on each side of the platform and the plugs are always out.

The smart thing to do is put some new ones in. Merc Quicksilver part number 12647. Google it and you'll find tons of them.
