Hey, been lurking here for a few years, decided to join in on some the conversations. I have learned a lot and get many questions answered from this site.
I am die hard into performance boating and think about it constantly (not a passing obsession, been going on since I was a kid). I am a Formula guy, probably always will be.
I would have been well into the 272-311 range but the economy put that on hold for me. I will get there.
I have a 1986 Formula 206. This winter I pulled the engine out and put in a 350 that I built up. Last year boat would run 57.5 at 4900 (just me, 1/2 tank). Broke new motor in last weekend. After couple hours cruising I clamped it for about 30 seconds. Didn't have a GPS but rpms went to right to 5500 with 3 people, 3/4 fuel and gear. Lots of power, gonna do a little more tuning.
Look forward to asking for and giving advice(where I have first hand experience), and just general talk.

So, where did the 206 come from? I sold mine to someone up that way in Martha's Vineyard back in 2002. My old boat?

Custom checkerboard dash panels? Maybe some checkers down the side in vinyl? Tri-color cockpit carpet with red Livorsi throttle and shifter?
Post a picture!
