The rub rail on the port side on my 07, 292 is a bit loose......wondering how to exactly tighten it???? It's NOT the stainless steel insert....but the actual rail that attaches to the boat itself.
I think I have to take the insert out and see how it is held on..... anyone know for sure??????

Remove the stainless trim, the actual rub rail is held on by screws under the stainless trim. While its off inspect the hull joint, mine was fine but did have a few screws loose. Its really not had just use a good quality screwdriver so you don't strip any screws.

Jay if your screws are stripped out then you could put a little 5200 in there just be careful not to drip any. Another thing guys have done is insert a small piece of wooden dowel and the screw into it. Both work and make or a quick fix.
