Default alpha one information?????????????

so here is the deal. my 223ls that i bought blown up now has a new engine. i went to getting the drive ready to bolt back on and found it was on the verge of explosion. I found a replacement drive on craigslist and went and bought it. the only thing i am unsure about is how to get parts when and if needed. it is nearly new in the box. so shouldnt need anything soon but, it does not have a serial number or ratio on the sticker like the original equipment did. does anyone know any secret places that they stamp a serial number and ratio on the replacement drives? It its for sure a 1.50 ratio because i counted revolutions. but i would still like to document the serial number for future parts inquiries

As long as you know the gear ratio and weather it is a alpha 1 or gen 2 you should be fine.
