Default Big Power in a 382 Fastech

Has any one run 900+ HP per side in a 382 Fastech Hull. If so what kind of speeds and handling did the boat have? Thanks.

When I bought my 382 used it had 8PSi Prochargers. Seller claimed 830hp/side but Precision Marine said it was probaly more like 790hp/side. Boat ran 98 and handled great.

I later removed Prochargers and built N/A 540's. Boat ran mid 80's while still performing well.

Previous owner of my '99 382 Poker Run Special had 950 hp/side thru Bravos running @ 114 mph, but he went through 4 sets of drives in 75 hours. I'm running 85-86 mph with 650 hp/650 ft.lb. with Max Machine prepped Bravo XR's with no drive issues. This is the original fully appointed Poker Run Special and not a "poker run edition" that is the stripped down race hull.

Looks like the Arneson conversion is the way to go if you want to run really fast.

Ahhh 1100 hp quad rotor whipples, Surface drives.....120 or so reported. My 382 700 NXT runs 97. After 80 or so the fastech hull sets up on the rear step and is really stable. It hunts a bit between 65 and 80. See the video of my 382 running 95+ in key west. I know no life vests ect..ect.. but it was in the moment..http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OowWRvyWurU
