Default 242 upgrades.......gauges, etc.

Well, I've only had my 242 for a couple of days and I'm already planning upgrades. Anyway, has anyone every used these gauges - http://www.cpperformance.com/p-231-s...combo-set.aspx

They look nice and the price is great. Will these fit my 242? I won't have my boat here until Friday so I can't measure them right now.

I'm also thinking about upgrading my ignition. I need to do plugs and wires. My marina just carries Sierra wires. Are they ok or should I get something else? I have been looking here - http://www.performancedistributors.com/marinedui.htm and here - http://www.cpperformance.com/c-161-distributors.aspx for ignitions

I have the marine HEI performance distributor, If i were to do it again I wouldn't have wasted my money. After a few hours of use the advancement apertures that are welded to the shaft broke, they fixed it under warranty but for the money your better off with the merc stuff, I would just by an msd coil and be done.

For gauges, I would check out www.livorsi.com they have alot of cool stuff and run specials often.

I like the livorsi gauges, but they are about twice the price of the Hardin Marine gauges. Maybe I can catch the Livorsi on sale. I plan on doing every gauge so it is going to add up fast.
