How is the search going? Where in Jersey do you boat? We were filling up our 2000 271 at Drum Point Marine in Brick when a guy told us her had a similar one to ours, it seemed like he wanted to move it ( he asked if i wanted another one!!) I didn't get his name but if you call the dock 732 477 3736 I'll bet Jimmy will know who the is, just tell him it's not Bill's with the 271 Formula. It can't hurt to try. Thanks for the heads up. I think I know the boat you are talking about. There is a 99 271 for sale in Brick for 35k. I know the owner already has another boat. I am about an hour and 15 from there. I am looking at a sr1 near there on Friday so maybe I will take a look.

THAT is a GREAT price!!! Two of my friends sold their 271's this fall...2000 w/502 mag $38.5k and a 2001 w/502 mag $39k. Both were excellent condition, low hour boats on trailers. You better snap that 496HO up for that price!!!

Unfortunately there is a deposit on it already. He will let me know if the deal falls through. I should have checked this board earlier.

Still looking? My 1998 271 is shrink wrapped for the winter but I am looking at selling it in the spring. I'm in NJ. She has about 275 hrs on her and the engine has about 30 hrs. She has Dana HP 900 tabs, external hydraulic steering. She had an HP 500 that was rebuilt 30 hrs ago it's now a 540ci, 650HP that is tuned to run on 89 octane. Boat looks new in and out. If you want to take a look and drive in the spring let me know.
