Step Plates...The final thread!
Well, after a long 5 years, Formula has decided to purchase my step plates and make them standard equipment on their 382's and options on the rest of the Fastech fleet starting with their 2013 models!
A special thanks goes out to all who have helped support this add on and the two OSO members who additionally voiced their opinion at this years Miami Boat Show, Chuck aka C_Spray and Dave aka Perfect Storm. The previous conversations that I had with the factory, and their valued opinion helped to put these on our boats from the factory.
Thank you both very much for the help. Check your PM's!
The step plates can now be purchased directly from your dealer, Formula service center, or the factory. You will have to check with them for pricing.
They made it on the 2013 cover boat and in the brochure for next years models! Here's a sneak peek at one shot, pay attention to the plates, ok, and the chic!
Thanks again for the support!
Dave

Good score Dave!!! I love the plates and they really should be standard equipment on a boat of this caliber. Hey, what about the handles...they're still plastic on that cover boat?!?!

Glad that it worked out, Dave. To me, it was a natural fit - two great products. Thank YOU for taking the initiative and designing the plates!!!

CONGRATS Dave! ~ I'm glad that I was able to help in some small way... This was a really worthwhile project from the get-go that you took on, and it IS really cool (!) that you get to make a contribution to all the new FasTechs on the market! From the pictures that I've seen of your FasTech, there is NO FasTech in the World that has more "BLING" than yours, so I think it's very fitting that the "King of Bling" gets to have a hand in adding Bling to all future generations of Formula FasTechs! Go Formula!
I'm NOT kidding when I say that when I first got on my FasTech to look it over to purchase it, the only thing that stuck-out like a sore thumb and screamed CHEAP to me were those fugly plastic step plates.
Glad all your hard work on this project is paying off for you!
BTW I agree with pondrunner that Formula should spring for the Stainless Grab-Handle too!
