I have the same power in an 04' with 3x3 stainless 26 pitch props. This is my first year with the boat (love it) but i've felt at times it is under propped with the power. Blows out of the hole but I will hit the rev limiter at 3/4 trim (light load and 3/8 fuel). @3400 i'm running about 34mph

How do you feel the 28's come out of the hole with a larger load (required to use tabs)?

no problem coming out of the hole, i do use my tabs, seems like it rolls up faster and easier on the equipement. i think overall its a better match. but if you make a change there may be better choices now than 3x3?

Anyone with experience for the below prop combinations on the 37 ss with 496 mag hos (425hp)?

1. 4x3 27 pitch xrs
2. 3x3 28 pitch rear/26 pitch front
4. 4x3 28 pitch rear/26 pitch front
5. Labbing 3x3 26 pitch and calling it a day
