The pic claiming it is getting detailed shows rust sign of long weather exposure. My guess is Pier57 fixed it to flip it. Since Formula has a fiberglass linered cockpit it can hold up to a lot more weather than a wood floor boat. That doesn't mean it is impervious to weather damage but a good build helps a lot.
Maybe it is a deal but only a survey would tell. |
I had one and loved it but even buffed/cleaned it's not a $50K boat.

Must have left the drain plug in while outdoors. Its too bad boats like this fall into the wrong hands. The crack is prob from the water freezing in the engine compartment. Handy man special winter project.

The crack was from an impact with a telephone pole type pier. Way above the waterline. Clearly visable from the inside, probably fixed on the outside due to no signs of the incident. The keel and bow of this boat was perfect, it was never beached. This is a 1 owner boat, and was taken care of. Something happened and it was neglected after the 02 season. The filters were dated 2002 with marker around Halloween of this year. The cockpit cover was destroyed from the elements. I am saying, buyer beware. |

Yes, this boat has sat for quite awhile, in fact, we think it has sat for up to 9 years. We bought this boat from another local dealer that was selling for a bank. Not that we need to share but the reason there are not 50-60 pics of this boat up yet, we have not received all the legal paperwork from the bank to sell it therefore, there are other boats in front of it being detailed. We hope to have the correct USCG deletion paperwork from bank this week and then we finish detailing the boat the pics will be up for all to review. Come on by and see boat for yourself, it's right in the showroom. Yes, it's dirty and will take a few days to clean up but it's not what it's being suggested here. There's no rust on this boat or cracks to our knowledge. When we bought boat, we were told by dealer that someone tried to tell them there was damage that did not exist to try and get a better deal and that another person went as far as to pop a freeze plug out to say it had a cracked block. All compression was excellent, motors run great and have low hours. The gas did smell so we had to pump out and put fresh gas in. As far as water in bilge, there was none when we purchased however there was some water from rain on cabin carpet. The 15K was an opening bid.
