I am redoing my 1997 formula 312 fastech instrument panels and wanting to swap out the black rocker switche covers that control the drive/tab/trailer functions for chrome plastic covers.
The 6 switches that I have are in working order...just needing the chrome colored plastic covers for each.
Formula wants $55.00 X 6 for the entire switch which is too much for me to cough up when all I need are the 6 covers.
Anybody have extra's they are wanting to part ways with or have suggestions for purchasing the chrome covers?
Thanks

Thanks for the reply...I called bennett, livorsi, and formula and you are right just the snap in covers are not available. Formula wants $55.00 a switch which is just too much when I have functioning switches already.
I have looked around and my best bet will be to remove the current switch covers which are black and paint/spray paint them with a metalic chrome. This may not be ideal but at least it will give the switches a vague chrome look to go with the chrome bezels of the gauges.
Thanks

Thanks for the info...I had already called Carling about the dash switches and they referred me to formula for the 8 replacement carling switches at about $25-40 per switch (I will be much smarter when separating the switch from the dash if I ever have to do this again, but live and learn).
I was informed that the tab/drive rocker switches I have in the 1997 were made by Bennett. I called and they do not may the plastic cover replacement in chrome...they have every color available under the sun EXCEPT chrome/silver which is why I have resorted to the paint/spray paint option.

Yea mine look identical to yours...off my 1997 312 fastech. Formula has replacements for them (they do not look identical but similar in nature) in the chrome/silver color to match the bezels on my new gauges but $55.00 per switch is just too much to fork over. Hence the proposed plan to find a metallic chrome paint and just paint the existing ones. I'm sure they will not look like true chrome but I am at least hoping to get some resemblance of a chrome appearance.

If those covers can be removed from the switch you have the option of having the covers dipped/plated and you would have chrome then. I don't know a place to do that but a search or someone here might know who to call.

I have been looking at the new boats and the old boats and contemplating updating the old console's to look like the new console's so this plating idea has been something I am considering myself.
Post back if you get them done and let us know where we can do it too.
