just took my 1986 f302 out to Long Beach, CA today. Good wave/chop conditions. Hit about 55 across the harbor. Last week we tested it at Irvine lake. The water was very flat and we hit 60 on GPS. I have the stock 454 330 hp motors, TRS drives and 23 pitch 3 blade props.

Some owners have pointed out that the TRS drive is low in the water and a 4 blade is too much. I will try 4 blade in the future as it should get more lift in the back end. Maybe not 23 but less. I had 2 adults total and about 1/4 tank of gas on test day. My current 3 blade props could use some tuning up, but I saw 60 mph. Hope this helped.

3 blades will be faster no matter what with that power and hull.... The 4 blade will give you better cruise speeds
