Default Engine Hatch

Hello
I have a 1985 242 LS and wanted to put a linear actuator on the engine hatch so I dont have to manual lift it. Has anyone done that? Where do you put the actuator? Size and lift weight? Pictures of it done on the pre-87 or even late 80's LS models? Anyone purchase any recently?Where? Any help is appreciated.

You should be able to find a new one at cpperformance, you should be able to mount it on the stringer. I would think you are going to need the height from stringer to bottom of your hatch that should give you a good indication of how big you can go.
