He's contacting the company that makes the ladders for Formula now.. Will keep everyone posted. Somone should invent a flat piece that go on these rungs too.. Would be hero's and rich... Killer on the feet without crocks..

This is going to be interesting to see what Formula is going to say, they told me the newer model ladders can't be fixed.

The one pic (bottom) is the older style where the swivels are on the outside, I went and took some pics of mine, the style that folds away under the back deck.

I had to buy a new one because the inside of the swivel was broke and wouldn't hold anything when it was used.

This newer design sucked because if it broke it couldn't be fixed.

I could be wrong, but I believe the telescoping ladder on my 02 292 has a sticker on it that reads "Life-Time Warranty" or "Life-Time Guarantee". I'd check that out first, and contact the manufacturer of the ladder.

my fat ass broke mine the exact same way on my 353 years ago, I was able to take it apart, unfortunately I don't remember how but I'm sure it involved my grinder and since I don't weld stainless I just brought it to a local welder and he helped me repair it. I have not pulled my 382 out of storage yet, ill take a look then and give you some more input, but definitely repairable.

Well here it is,,,, HI-Tec makes the ladder. Scott from Formula talked with them and they will fix for about $300.00 or a new one is in the $800+ range YIKES.

Its just a tit that breaks off. Going to take it to a local welder dude that does S/S,, He'll have to cut to separate, weld new FAT ASS TIT on and weld back... I figure cant be much more than a Hondo... I'll keep everyone posted.
For the meantime I kept the one off my wrecked 31...
