Couple issues on the 312

Gettin the (new to me float) ready for the year a few things discovered, need some help from all of you. Once the key was in, turned and power on, the tab pump on starboard side started running and won't shut off. Could it be a short in the wiring?
Secondly the throttle has the thumb switch that controls the trim, the wiring has pulled out and is not working, once in a while it will come on and work. Is there a cover/boot to go over throttle shafts to keep the exposed wiring from pulling out of the button? Thanks guys!

Sounds like a short, or bad switch for tab sticking... them tabs have seperate pumps like K planes??

Yes. Disconnect from switch completely and was still running
