I'm looking for some help on the selection of new / used props for my Formula 233 with twin 260's. The boat has ran 23 pitch cleavers for years and would do 60+ at 4,400 rpm. The props have become very out of shape (dings and such) and just aren't worth fixing.
I want to get this boat back around 65 mph and thought about going with a 21 pitch Mirage given the rpm range I have been running with the 23 cleavers.
I'd really like some good recommendations based on fact and not gut feel.
Any help is appreciated.

I think you're on the right track. My 255 with twin 260's ran low 60's with 21" SSt Merc Stainless "Old Style". Cleavers are obsolete technology from the '80's that ran great on the top but were terrible out of the hole. I think a 21" Mirage Plus will be a good choice and I'm predicting 65 MPH trimmed out in good tune .
