Default Bought a F303 SR1

Last night I made a deal on a 1996 F303 SR1, with 454 mags, and 425 hours on the clock. I took it out last night and it ran 66 mph on the GPS on water that was smooth as glass. The RPM's seemed a little low aroud 4700 at WOT. The boat currently has three blade Mirage Quicksilver 25P's on it. They also seemed to blow out a little when comming up to plane. Is there a better prop that should be on this boat?

Also, I am completly new to Formula's. What else can you tell me about or give advise about on this boat?

Thaks guys. I psyched to get out on the water soon.

Congrats on the boat! With labbed 24p bravo's mine with 425's runs in the lower mid 70's at 5200 RPM. I think your revs are a little low as well for a mag motor. I have a set of mirage 25's but I have honestly never tried them. The bravos work so well at cruise. Get some Pics posted! Where do you boat?

I thought 454 mags ran around 4800 +/-. With the #s reported and if he has a 1.5:1 drive his prop slip is 11%. That's pretty good. IMHO.

Congrats you will love it, weve had ours a year and love it, seems the rpms should be a tad higher yo around 48/4900 but maybe you need to familiar yourself a little more for that last little extra, where did you find it?
post some pics!

I've got a 92 303 with newer 454mags, with 25 3 blades - I've touched 70 in the right conditions. Never did much prop testing though
