Default 06 330ss top speed issue

Hi Guys,

I was hoping someone could chime in on this thread, i have an 06 330ss w/496mags and B3's, boat cruises fine 50mph @4100 5ppl and a full tank of gas, my question is ever since i got the boat 3 years ago i have only gotten 62mph 1 time (2ppl and full tank gas) and never again? after 4100 rpm there is nothing left and i may get a max of 54mph WOT is about 4800. i understand that i dont have a rocket but more concerned there maybe something wrong? boat has 140hrs on it and vc-17 on the bottom but it had that since the begining? thoughts

maybe asking too much and shutup and just enjoy? lol

regards
Jeremy

Hey Jeremy,

Here's a thread where I mapped out RPM and GPS speed with my 02 w/ 496 non-HO mags.

http://www.offshoreonly.com/forums/f...s-496mags.html

Do you have a radar arch that might be adding weight and drag?

Ouch, that would do it for me, too!

I don't think the VC-17 would slow you down. If I remember, it is quite thin and is supposed to reduce drag.

Any new dings on the prop?
