Two things going against you size and 50+. majority of boats are the 18-30ft type and most boats are in the 10-30k range that I see listed and out on the water. Plus a 38ft boats requires more than an F150. So you cut out a lot of average boater market.
On price I did a search on boattrader.com on the whole US for 93-95 in your model, average asking price was around 45 with one high at 67k. Now thats asking figure after bargaining probably a little less. Very nice boat from the looks of it, but personally if I was interested in that model in that year or years, and after doing market research I would be looking to spend 40-45k tops. |
Having just sold an older 303SR1 and just purchased a 2002 382, I can tell you the real market is pretty close to 80-90% Low NADA. This seems to be the magic number banks will lend to, and where boats seem to sell quickly. While us gearheads understand all the good parts in those motors and the expense that goes along with building them, 90% of buyrs are scared of them. I honesty think the boat is worth the same money with stock HP500's as it is with your nice power. I think you have a very nice piece, and if you are contemplating selling vs keeping if you plan to continue boating it would be hard to replace that / upgrade without spending a ton of $$$.
Good luck with what ever you decide :drink: |
I do also have it listed on powerboat listing . And working on a oso ad now
|
try googling free boat listing, or even pay for things like boattrader, boat us etc. If your looking for something else, might be nice to see what dealers have and what they would give you. Typically you lose out on a trade, but not always. And trading means you dont have pay tax on the amount your trade is worth.

If the engines were built by a known shop, I would include their name in your ad.
