Default CMIs on 496s

Well I finally got my CMIs installed on my 06 353 with 496hos. It was a bigger project than I thought. The only way to install is by pulling 1 engine because they are that tight together. I also had 1 bad header and CMI built a new one for me to take care of problem long story don't want to get into that LOL! My best top speed before headers was 73mph at 5000rpm. After running boat this weekend with 4 adults 3/4 tank of fuel I was hitting rev limiters at 5150rpm at 75mph. So there is some gain from headers after all the negative I have read about them on other forums. I am running bravo 28 labs and I'm going to try some 30 labs and hope to gain a few more mph? Still a lot money for couple mph but seems to plain faster and have a better mid range punch! Also has a more tuned sound. I will see how bigger wheels effects them.

Man that's a tight fit! Thought you were doing Raylar kits, or is this just a little mod for now?

Sold the original manifolds. Believe it or not 1 was alum 1 was steel. I am hoping santa brings raylars but think it will be a year or two to save some coin!
