Default Power Footrest

I have a 353 and the power footrests are rocking back and forth and appear loose.
They work up and down just fine but I need to tighten things up. Is the access under the rubber pad on top of the footrest

Yes it is under the rubber pad on the lower half of the footrest (found out the hard way the top pad doesn't need to be peeled up). There are four rivets under the pad that you have to drill off and then the footrest just lifts off.

Thanks sheperd. I would have peeled up the top pad first too

Port side is loose on mine also and I pulled the Plate and the entire assembly is bolted to the bottom of the boat and a cpl of the bolts were broke off... the remaining seemed tight ....Like you stated it works fine but is loose ...I closed it up and will pull the entire unit this winter ....m
