Default Stereo and VHF radio

Stereo worked fine on Saturday but would not work on Sunday when I put the face plate on. Seems like no power at all. After checking different things, my VHF radio does not power on as well. Checked the breaker under the rear bench seat but it was not popped. Are both units connected to the same power source? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Call Formula, if you don't have it for the wiring diagram. You can find out were they get power without tracing the wire back.

So I had a mechanic do some power testing on my boat today. He said both my stereo head unit and VHF radio are both getting power and ground. I haven't used the VHF in awhile so who knows when that went out but I feel I can replace it with a new one no problem. He thinks my stereo is just broken. 11 year old boat, so it seems reasonable.

Question for those who have replaced the head unit on the stereo. What is the easiest way to get a replacement that will plug and play to the original Kenwood? I plan on purchasing a new unit but I'd prefer to not have to rewire. Can I get another Kenwood or are there harnesses that will convert different plugs?

Highly doubt you will find a plug an play for the sterio. Just buy the head unit you want and rewire it. It's about a 20 minute job.

My dad just replaced his stereo with another Kenwood in his 02 31PC. Wiring harness was the same. Just plugged right in.
