My heart goes out to you and her. Her being the boat if course. That is one of my worst fears come to life while Trailering. I sweat like a pig whenever I trailer the boat. Not so much on back roads but highways. Always worried about that person cuttings me off or coming to an abrupt stop from 50mph to 0, texting while driving, or looking at the boat and not the road and turning into the side of me.

That's why I trailer early morning or evening when roads are less traveled, but understand it could happen at any time. Best of luck with her. On a bright side it's only going to get better from here on out.

I'm really sorry man. I got rear ended when my boat was 2 years old. Not nearly as hard as yours though. It ended my boating season and progressive was a nightmare to work with. I had to threaten to file fraud charges and sue them. Hopefully you have good insurance and not progressive. That really sucks, and at the start of the season. :(

She was the Hitter. Seems to me HER insurance pays.

Looks like she was driving a newer car, most likely financed so she should have at least ok insurance. Reminds me of a saying I have heard about a sign in front of a church...

If you love Jesus
honk as you drive by
If you want to meet Jesus
text as you drive by.

Look at the bright side, you just got a new transom, transom assembly, drive, prop...............

Hopefully. The trailer repair/replacement will be the deciding factor.

The driver that hit my boat was ticketed but my insurance was responsible for my boat. That's how no-fault works. May be different in your state.

Progressive wanted to weld things, straighten things, repair mangled prop. On a two year old boat. They charged out parts that I proved were not replaced. It was a nightmare. Insurance has changed.

What a nightmare, hope everything works out!
