Where does this drain go? Water problem ... Help
I encountered an issue with water in my cabin this weekend. I was using the icebox for the first time this weekend (I have an ice box, not a refrigerator) and water leaked into the cabin. There is a collection area under the step in to the cabin that held the water, but it would not drain through the drain tub mounted there. I had to use the shop vac, which pulled all kinds of crap out of that tube. Question: Where does this drain into? The engine bay? Can I get an air house and blow it out without damaging or causing it to become disconnected at a coupling? It should drain ... right? This irritates the piss out of me, now knowing where it goes ... any help would be appreciated ... oh yea, it's a 1990 292 SR1, and it ran great all weekend (except for this)

I'm pretty sure it drains into the bilge area, some of them do, some don't. There has been significant talk of this problem throughout the years here.

Yes . . . the drain/tube goes under the fuel tank and into the engine bilge. The tube itself is glassed over in the section that runs through the fuel bay.
Something to keep in m ind in case your bilge ever get too full of water; it will work its way up to the cabin.

I had the same issue with my 85 302. I rigged up some 1/4 " nylon tubing to a garden hose fitting from home depot and shoved it in from the bilge all the way up to the cabin flushed out all kind of crap.

Jeff, if I were u I would go from the cabin to the bilge. Don't spray that junk into your cabin. Just a thought
