1988 F29 Hot water heater
 

Breaker shorts when trying unit. I am assuming the heater element may be shot. I filled the tank with water before testing. ANyone know who made this heater? It is a rectangular shaped box in stainless steel casing.

I believe it was made by a company Atlantic Marine. They are no longer in business but you can match parts up and get working again.

Does it look similar to mine on top right of pic?

Thanks for the reply...Yes it does look like that. BTW, Very nice and clean engine room. Hats off to you. I see the batteries are wired in series are you running something 24 volts?

Thanks, those are my "house batteries" which are 2 golf car batteries because of their aH rating. 2 6v = 12

Defender I believe has some parts. Your element is similar to an electric water heater in a house but you need to buy a stainless one.
