1988 F29 Hot water heater

Breaker shorts when trying unit. I am assuming the heater element may be shot. I filled the tank with water before testing. ANyone know who made this heater? It is a rectangular shaped box in stainless steel casing.

Thanks for the reply...Yes it does look like that. BTW, Very nice and clean engine room. Hats off to you. I see the batteries are wired in series are you running something 24 volts?

Thanks, those are my "house batteries" which are 2 golf car batteries because of their aH rating. 2 6v = 12
Defender I believe has some parts. Your element is similar to an electric water heater in a house but you need to buy a stainless one.
