I am looking into re-doing my dash panel. Im interested in the smartcraft system. Will it work with my 312 formula. 502 mpi's?Does anyone know of a good source for installation information?

What year are your motors? SmartCraft started with the 496's I believe.

You are correct from what I read about the smartcraft starting with the 496. Mine are 98 502mefi. I was referred to livorsi to see if they offered anything. It looks like their vantage view gauges are available for mefi engines. Does anyone know much about these? I like the digital display of the smartcraft vessel view. I've read that the vantage view can interface with a garmin unit. Does anyone have any experience with this setup?

The interface with Garmin is thru the NEMA 2000 network, but I don't believe old Mefi's have the smarts to output digitally though - could be wrong though.

I'm going to add a Fusion Radio to a Simrad G05XSE next spring, the Simrad has the same capabilities thru the 2000 Network
