I grew up in the boating world used to own a marina been in it since I was born. Dad did it gramps did it as well. Driven test boats for merc etc. I know what goes into it and I enjoy the bus process. Why do you think I spent all that time restoring my 27 instead of buying one? Also I enjoy not having a payment or being up to my eyeballs in boat debt. So it makes more sense for me to build what I WANT not someone else's crap that's been thrashed or that I will change anyway.

Something doesn't seem right there when I've banged 80 with 2 stock 502's, and always get 74/75 and I need to play with props as I am sure there is more there, what else is in your setup?

wondering if since im getting without power or drives if it would be worth it to go built bravo or stay trs or ssm, or just put kaamas on it and put big power in front of them???

If boat was originally built with TRS, may want to price Konrad 540's as they are direct replacement with transom sutouts, and they will handle a lot more power than a Bravo. May be able to find a decent used set rebuilt. Just a thought.

You might want want to just buy one that goes faster thats already done. Your gonna spend some dough by the sound of things, and probably hate boats by the time your done. Just my opinion cause I,ve been there.

True BUT yours ran really good when you were done!

You didnt mention in your post that you built a 27 from ground up. I know what you mean about building it the way you want to but there is some nice hardware out there that someone has spent a boatload of money on. My 302 with Kaamas started at 73mph and when I sold it 90mph on gps with 600 per side and 250 blower shop blowers. A friend of mine had a 87 357 with Kaamas with 700 per side and ran about 84ish. 357 is a nice ship but heavy.

Yes it did but it was time for a change... Right guy at the right time came along.

Yeah mines a 311. Hoping for 80s so we will see. I was thinking even Blackhawks maybe but after talking with formula they don't think the 311 has enough natural lift to work with Hawks. Which sucks cause that's what I REALLY wanted to run.

You put surface drives on it #3's #4s or a Kaama something like that with 500 a side it should do better than 80. If I would have put a pair of 525SC's I bet I would have run 85
