Default Two 97's

Well here are two 97's that show up in a search. Anyone know anything about either one of them?

The blue one looks rough and the gen is missing. The updates on this boat look great but my uncle looked at it for me and said there are a lot of chips and cracks in the paint.

The Mich boat looks clean but has enough cast iron to build a bull dozer.

He did before the broker listing. I got his phone number from the craigslist ad last year. It has been for sale for almost four years. Most of these 419's take several years to move.

I'll check it out. I thought it sold a couple years ago under $67K. It has a good engine package but no gen so I didn't look into it much.
Thanks

i can tell you the blue one in florida smelled humidity when i went to look at it this winter. looks good from far but close is far from good! some rotted wood behind the vynil in cockpit, stains and mildew in some places, the interior although redone some years ago is so dirty... engine compartment is the cleanest part of the boat! not to mention there are a couple spots on the bottom hull that are missing fiberglass, maybe from beaching, but enough not to use the boat in water right now like that....

the one in brick was really really clean everywhere 3 years ago. the cabin ceiling was falling apart but that was the only downside on this boat, besides no gen and no silent choice for me... it sold in fact 2 years ago or so, and i think the actual add is probably outdated and the boat is probably not for sale anymore

in fact 419 seemed to be hard to move...

I booked to go look at that one but missed the flight so I didn't make it. It is interesting that your findings mirrored my uncles reply to me. He lives just 10 min from that boat so he looked at it for me and pretty much said the same exact thing. He said the bilge was clean but the rest of the boat was rough. I talked to the owner and learned the engines, intakes, exhaust and other items have all been done fresh but the gen was thrown out because it was in parts and they had no interest of it. I made an offer on it but so far it has not been accepted. He should take what he can get. I offered cash.

Did you look at the 419 in Michigan? I wonder if anyone knows about that one? I have talked with the owner but not seen it yet.

Before anyone mentions the 2001 with Torch graphics in NY; I checked the HIN and found an auction listing in Arizona where that boat sold following a reported accident. I have the build sheet on that boat from Formula but it doesn't have a gen and I require a gen set installation in the boat. The gen could be gone but the boat must be factory built with the gen equipment.

I used to tie up with this boat almost every weekend. It's very well taken care of, but has quite a few hours on it if I recall. it spent just about every summer weekend of its life tied up at put in bay!
