Anyone know of a stepped 419 for sale???
Well since Formula stopped building the 419 and only 14 were built from 2000 to 2002 a stepped 419 is not easy to find. I can only find two that are for sale right now and I am looking for more options before pulling the trigger on a second choice boat.
Anyone know someone who is ready to sell a stepped 419 that has gen, ac, head shower and fuel injected? |
Nobody knows of even one?
My car search was a less than 2% of production search and took me over a year to find. I guess my Formula 419 is also a needle in a hay stack because so few exist. Keep your eyes and ears open for me guys. I thought sure that Sam knew of one; he knows where all the Formula boat listings are. lol Hey Sam did you see my 357 SR1 for sale posting? Just testing you. lol, It may be gone in a couple of weeks. |
There is a 1997 419 listed on Temptation Yacht Sales in Michigan,
http://temptationyachtsales.com/boat...BoatID=4716334 |
I believe anything built 1998 or newer will have the white dash, it's much nicer and cooler, at least I think so, I had a 1997 312, it had the dark dash and we have a 1998 353 now and it has the white dash, so I'm speaking from experience, good luck with your search.

I prefer the white dash. The bolsters are the new design on 98 and up and most of the updates that lasted through production were available then too. I can mod a 97 if it has certain things I want but getting a 98 up is my preference. Money is always the limit so I will buy whatever I can find and afford. I found a 2001 in NY but it has an accident in it's history so as much as I loved the Torch graphics it is out of my interest. It also did not have a gen set so that was a biggie too. |

LOL actually I haven't where do u have her listed? I agree with Joey, take some time and hopefully find a 98- I even like my 94 dash better then the 95-97 dash's and thats quita pita to change
I just posted in on facebook because someone was asking about 35' twin engine performance boats for sale. I was giving a heads up on my intentions but I got some interest there and have not made any other postings as yet. The buyer is in Wisconsin so if everything works out I may deliver it this month. I agree with you all on the dashes. There are only the two 97's that are listed now and both are overpriced! |
i saw a 94 recently, but it had ugly graphics

Two 97's
Well here are two 97's that show up in a search. Anyone know anything about either one of them?
http://www.yachtworld.com/boats/1997...s#.VW5bDFK9Tko http://temptationyachtsales.com/boat...BoatID=4716334 The blue one looks rough and the gen is missing. The updates on this boat look great but my uncle looked at it for me and said there are a lot of chips and cracks in the paint. The Mich boat looks clean but has enough cast iron to build a bull dozer. |
no, but I think the one im thinking of is the temptation boat, they must have craigslisted it somewhere

I'll check it out. I thought it sold a couple years ago under $67K. It has a good engine package but no gen so I didn't look into it much. Thanks |
i can tell you the blue one in florida smelled humidity when i went to look at it this winter. looks good from far but close is far from good! some rotted wood behind the vynil in cockpit, stains and mildew in some places, the interior although redone some years ago is so dirty... engine compartment is the cleanest part of the boat! not to mention there are a couple spots on the bottom hull that are missing fiberglass, maybe from beaching, but enough not to use the boat in water right now like that....
the one in brick was really really clean everywhere 3 years ago. the cabin ceiling was falling apart but that was the only downside on this boat, besides no gen and no silent choice for me... it sold in fact 2 years ago or so, and i think the actual add is probably outdated and the boat is probably not for sale anymore in fact 419 seemed to be hard to move... |

I booked to go look at that one but missed the flight so I didn't make it. It is interesting that your findings mirrored my uncles reply to me. He lives just 10 min from that boat so he looked at it for me and pretty much said the same exact thing. He said the bilge was clean but the rest of the boat was rough. I talked to the owner and learned the engines, intakes, exhaust and other items have all been done fresh but the gen was thrown out because it was in parts and they had no interest of it. I made an offer on it but so far it has not been accepted. He should take what he can get. I offered cash. Did you look at the 419 in Michigan? I wonder if anyone knows about that one? I have talked with the owner but not seen it yet. |
Before anyone mentions the 2001 with Torch graphics in NY; I checked the HIN and found an auction listing in Arizona where that boat sold following a reported accident. I have the build sheet on that boat from Formula but it doesn't have a gen and I require a gen set installation in the boat. The gen could be gone but the boat must be factory built with the gen equipment.

no... black dash, older than what i am looking for, blueish trailer, pink colors... too much to do...

I could make some changes but the equipment brings a lot to the table in my decision. It has a lot of hours on it but it is injected and roller engines which are minimum for me. Good luck in your search and I hope we don't tug of war on the same boat. lol |

I used to tie up with this boat almost every weekend. It's very well taken care of, but has quite a few hours on it if I recall. it spent just about every summer weekend of its life tied up at put in bay!
The pics look very clean and he said ANYTHING it needs he takes care of in short order so things don't pile up. His mechanic is supposed to be tops in the area. Last Aug they lost a prop so the port prop is new. Does it look like it sets too deep in the water? I guess that is all the cast iron in that boat. All that cast needs to go! |

Have you been on board? As I understand he is moving to Fla and selling everything for the move.

Same graphics as the Michigan boat. The Michigan boat is stepped and fuel injected which are part of my requirements. I would like 98 and up but they are not easy to find. |
If you come to Michigan contact me. Have a 95 that has updated paint(Mitcher T). And complete rebuilds by reputable builder. Great boat and have yet to list. Thoughts of selling but as far as it went. Custom manning trailer as well. Hoist kept and heated winter storage. Gaffrig gauges. All updates done.

The boat sounds nice for sure and thanks for telling me about it. I want to stick with the stepped hull for the 419. That is part of the move we are making to go from mono hull to stepped hull. |
There is a 99 listed in the classifieds.

This one has been deleted so I didn't get to see what it was. I have been on vacation for a while and just got back to the site. I guess they say, you snooze you loose. |

I was told that boat sold out of Texas this spring. Did you buy it and now have buyers remorse? Or maybe you are another broker? This boat is nice but the graphics would cost me to change for sure and the price is too high all things considered. |

We were originally looking for a 35-38' as we live in lake charles and a 42 is just HUGE for our little lake... We also generally run in the river and obviously, it takes this big boat a while to stop which isnt the safest for our environment. We knew this when we purchased the boat out of texas originally, however, I wanted to be 100% sure i had a boat for the summer regardless of size.. LOL. We have been taking it out and enjoying it... but would love something a little smaller and lighter for running around locally.
Yes, it would be a great lake house lol. That is kind of how I want to use one. This way I won't have grass to mow at the lake house lol. I have my 357 for sale and it is supposed to be sold but no money yet. I made a deal on a 419 but can't get it paid off till mine sells. I like huge in a lot of my boating preferences but it can be too big for some places for sure. Good luck on the sale. |
I see this one out of Fl came up on ebay. http://www.ebay.com/itm/419-Formula-...m=291514708549
I just really need a trailer to help this price out. For me to get the trailer and a gen, which is missing, the total price is too much for the TLC it needs. This boat also has two owners so they both have to be satisfied with the price. |
